Fun weekend!

My parents came to town this last weekend and it was so much fun just to have them around. I miss being close to them. At least we aren't so far away that they can't come visit every once in a while. McKenna has been waiting forever to go fishing with my dad and she finally got to go with him. They didn't catch anything but she had fun just throwing her pole in the water. Thanks dad for taking her! She loved it.

Stacey wanted to see my grass so here it is. It is getting there. Travis and my dad even planted the back yard in grass while he was here so that was another perk of having the folks come. Thanks dad for working on your vacation. I am so excited about my yard! We also planted some trees after I took these pictures so that was fun too.

I am a bad blogger!

So sorry I haven't made a post in forever. I will try harder for sure (Stacey) so please forgive me for the lack of blogging. Last weekend we got to go to Washington to surprise my mom for her birthday and it was so much fun to be with everyone. Staying up too late, telling old stories and laughing way to hard at 50 calorie pictures, (once again Stacey!), and seeing all the grandkids together. Needless to say it was a blast. So here are just a couple pictures. There will be more of Whitney on my photography blog so visit there to see those.

I think my parents are so cute and I am pretty sure I have the best ones in the world!
Try getting all these kids to take a good picture, I dare you to try.

My Little Gymnast

So McKenna started gymnastics today and it was so fun to watch her. She loved it! Tonight was just the open gym where they can come in and do whatever they want so we went to see if she would like it and she loved it! So her first real class is on Wednesday and we are excited. The teacher helped her do a few things tonight and McKenna loved her too so I think this should be a fun new adventure!
Look she is a natural. Tee Hee.

Happy Easter!

So this last weekend was Easter and it was tons of fun. Saturday we did the Easter egg hunt with the cousins and had all the candy we could handle. McKenna was so funny because she would just run as fast as she could from egg to egg. She was so excited about it.

Maddie just enjoued watching the festivities and I am sure next year she will give McKenna a run for her money.

In the end McKenna ended up with quite the stash!

Then we ended out the day with carrot baseball and just hanging out.

Then on Sunday the girls looked so beautiful in their dresses, I just loved it. I am not sure how I got such gorgeous girls but they just looked adorable. Church was nice and then we had a wonderful dinner over at Travis' parents home. All in all it was a great weekend. I am so greatful to the Savior for all He did for us and that we even have the opportunity to celebrate such a miracle.

McKenna Turned 3!

So McKenna's birthday was on March 11th and she turned 3! It's hard to believe that she is three already but it's true. She wanted a princess party (surprise there) so we got all the princess trimmings for her party and she was so excited.

We played pin the tail on the donkey and even the adults joined in. The birthday girl even won. (She peaked)
She opened a ton of presents and loved all of them so thank you everyone. She even got a princess fishing pole specifically to go fishing with Grandpa Brownell so be prepared dad.

Then came time to blow out the candles on her beautiful princess cake that she picked out. I lit the candles turned around and the next thing I knew.................
It was on the floor face down! It just slipped off the platter right on to the tile!
So we salvaged what we could so McKenna could at least get to blow out her candles.
And this is what she ended up with. It was pretty funny. I had to laugh or I would have gotten really mad, only because that was how my whole day went which is a story for another time.
All in all McKenna had a wonderful birthday and we are so proud of her and all she has become in her three short years and can't wait to see what the next year brings. And to see what adventure will be on her next birthday. Watch out Maddie your next!

Two Headed Monster!

We went to the park today with my sister and her little boy Riley. McKenna and him have become fast friends since we have been here in Washington and this just cracked me up. They were having so much fun in that swing together.
