McKenna's Special Day

Friday McKenna and I got to have a "special day". I think she was in desperate need of some one on one attention with her mom being that alot of mom's time is now devoted to Maddie. So Friday morning we hopped into the car and started off at Target where McKenna got to pick out any toy she wanted. Of course she chooses Play Doh. I hate play doh. It's such a mess. Oh, well at least it's cheap. As we are walking out of the store she says "Mom, we are having a great time!" She makes me laugh. Then it was off to a little salon in Boise called Monkey Dooz. It is just for kids and is adorable. McKenna got to have a little makeover where they did her hair....

...they did her nails......
.....and her makeup. She was in seventh heaven! If anyone has a little girl you have to go do this at least once. I am sure McKenna will talk me into taking her there again.
Finished product!
Then we went to the Discovery Center in Boise where there were a lot of fun things. She really liked blowing giant bubbles with this fun contraption.
There was a little pretend grocery store which she absolutely loved. She could have shopped all day.
Then we went over to the park where she went on the slides and chased geese and ducks. It was such a fun day and I was so glad to get to spend it with McKenna. I just love her so much. She is the funniest little girl and brightens my day. Thanks for the great day McKenna!

It's Raining It's Pouring!

So last Thursday there was the biggest most random huge rain storm. It only lasted about an hour but it did some serious damage. McKenna wanted to go out and stand in it. That lasted about two seconds.
This is what was left of our driveway after an hour.

These were huge rivenes dug by the water coming off the hill. Those are about a foot deep.
This is what happened in our backyard that we just barely planted and we hadn't got a chance to get our rock wall up yet and this is what happened. Some of those cuts in the dirt are like three feet in.
It was a sad day. Friday Travis and his dad ended up rebuilding a whole new road. Not fun!
