4 months and 80 pictures later....

Well July started out with a bang but blogging sure ended with a thud! I feel like I haven't had two minutes to sit down and catch up. So I actually had an afternoon when I had nothing to do and my two youngest girls are upstairs sleeping. So here I am catching you all up on what has been going on in our lives for the last four months.

First of all my youngest sister, Whitney, got married in August! It is weird to think that she is married being that she is the baby and all, but we are so happy for her. So here are a few fun ones from that blessed event.

I love this picture of McKenna and my Grandma.

Then that same weekend some of our dearest friends from Idaho, the Youngs, came up to visit us. We went to the zoo......

...then we went up to Bremerton to meet Travis at the Naval Base and then ride the ferry boat across the water to Seattle. It is so fun seeing all these beautiful and interesting places. I LOVE Washington and all it has to offer!

Then once we met up with Travis we hopped on the ferry boat for what was my little family's first ferry boat ride! It is so fun taking them to do things that I did as a kid.
Photobucket
This picture makes me laugh so hard. I was trying to get a picture of all of them together and poor McKenna looks like she is getting choked. haha
Photobucket
The kids thought it was so fun to see all the water and trees and the city in the distance. They weren't however to sure about the wind.

On the ride over we saw a bunch of seals playing in the water and lounging on this buoy. It was so fun seeing them out in the wild!

Oh man I am in TROUBLE!!!! Already kissing boys!

Then when we got to Seattle we went to my FAVORITE retaraunt, The Crab Pot! Our friends wanted some real seafood. In the hallway where you wait there are a whole bunch of these guys carved out of wood. My girls thought they needed a picture by every single one of them. Here are just a few!

Then we walked down to Pike Place Market and that is always fun to see all the shops and people.
Photobucket

Then we just walked around and went through different shops along the piers. It was so fun having them up here. Travis and Troy have been friends since they were kids so they go way back. They have 3 boys and we have 3 girls. Kind of funny.

Then after they left it was time to get back in the swing of things. McKenna started the first grade! It was a crazy first couple of weeks for her because we were in the middle of moving to Buckley so we had to get ready early so we could make the 45 minute commute to drop her off to school in the mornings. But she loves her new school and her teacher and is doing very well. Her first month in school she got two awards. One called a REACH award and one a PE award.
Photobucket

Then on Sept 15th we moved to our new house in Buckley. We LOVE it! We love the ward, the school, the area and the house. It has been so great living here and everyone is happy to be out of the ghetto where we were haha.

Then it was Madison's birthday party. She wanted to do a drive in movie party but it had to have a zebra cake. haha. That girl cracks me up. So we had a concessions stand and all the kids decorated their car and they lined up to watch Gnomeo and Juliet.

Then on that Sunday we had a family party for Madison and can I tell you how happy this made me?!?!?! It was somewhat nostalgic for me with everyone because it reminded me of when I was a kid and having birthday parties with all the Aunts and Uncles, cousins, Grandmas and Grandpas. It was a lot of fun.

Then last Fridaythe Tubbs' over to decorate cookies and carve pumpkins.
Photobucket
This is the funniest picture ever. Look at their faces! Think they have had enough sugar? haahahaha.
Photobucket
Then it was time to get down and dirty.

My friend Sadie and I have been teaching a little preschool out of my home. This is pretty fun because Sadie and I have been friends since I was two years old. And now 2 of our daughters are only 2 weeks apart. So it's fun to watch them play. We took all the kids (-3 that day) to the pumpkin patch.

This is Madison with Sadie's daughter Bella. I seriously love being around old friends and having our kids be friends. It is one of my favorite things about being back in Washington.

Then last Saturday night we went to a Halloween party at our neighbors house who also happens to be a childhood friend. Travis and I were a cowboy and indian.
Photobucket
We played minute to win it games. This one is called junk in the trunk and you have to shake ping pong balls out of a kleenex box and Travis won!

Then on Halloween we had a little party at preschool that day. It was fun seeing all the kids in their costumes.

Then the long anticipated Halloween night arrived! McKenna was tinkerbell, Madison was a fairy, and Megan was a frog.

Some of our good friends the Diddy's came trick or treating with us because they live out in the country and our neighborhood is a perfect spot to trick or treat. (Their mom is also a childhood friends LOVE IT!)

July is off with a bang!

Yes, I know, you have fallen off your chair in disbelief because I am already doing a new post!!! Not only is it a new post, it has a plethera of pictures! So hold on to your sparklers, here we go! July started off with a trip to the zoo with all the cousins. It is so fun right now because Stacey and her boys are here so all of the cousins are in town. So Angie and her boys, Stacey and her boys and me and my girls packed up and went to the zoo! The kids loved it!

One of the funnest parts about the zoo is where you can go in and feed these cute little birds. It was so fun watching Megan and McKenna love these birds coming to sit on their sticks of food. Madison however was not a fan!

But like always, the play area is always a hit with the kids. Megan just loved these shells. It was so fun watching her pop her head in and out thinking she was hilarious. Man alive I love that cute face of hers!

A couple days later it was off to Angie's house for a BBQ in the backyard. It's always great just sitting around visiting, reminiscing, playing the ugly face game (they would shoot me if I posted pictures of that, but man we love to play that game), and watching the kids all play together. It is so fun to see the cousins together and watching all my sibling's families grow.

Photobucket

Maddie decided that her clothes were too boring and had to go upstairs and become a firefighter. And boy isn't she a cute one!

Photobucket

This picture makes me laugh so hard. We wanted to get a picture of all of the kids together and this was the best we got. Oh man it's a good one! HA! But I wanted to take a picture of all the grandkids for my parents to see their little bunch all together. And it is quite the bunch.

Photobucket

Thankfully Angie has some amazing neighbors and they provided some evening entertainment for us with fireworks. Their dad had to work on the 4th so they did fireworks Saturday night and man the kids thought it was great!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Then the real 4th roled around. We got the girls hair all done up and dressed red, white and blue and we were ready to have some fun!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We went out to our friends, the Diddy's, had a BBQ, the kids got in their suits and played in the water which is a miracle in itself because if you are a real Washintonian you know that it ALWAYS rains on the 4th, but it was in the 80's so it was perfect weather!

Photobucket

Wasn't their hair cute?!?!

Photobucket

Then the fun began with the fireworks. It is so fun to watch my kids when they don't have a care in the world. They are just having fun and enjoying the good parts of life. I hope they have that feeling as long as possible. I just love them so much that I always want their lives to be fireworks and sunshine!

Photobucket

Photobucket

This is how McKenna felt about the fireworks though. Poor girl, she is just such a worrier. But by the end of the night she said she would maybe try and hold a sparkler next year.

Photobucket

It was this sweet little thing's first 4th of July. She is Erica's new little girl, Brielle. She was born on June 24th. I just love snugging with a brand new baby, it made me want another one really bad! But so far Travis is a no go on that one!

Photobucket

And you can't beat a view like that. I absolutely love that mountain. It just makes me feel like I am "home". Love it.

Photobucket

Then we headed off to the fairgrounds to see some real fireworks. It was pretty good for lil' ol' Enumclaw. We went back to Diddy's and roasted marshmallows then finally headed home with our tired babies. It was such a great day. I love America and am so glad we get to have a day just to celebrate this great country we live in. God bless the USA!
