God, PLEASE, bless America!

So I am so very dissappointed in the election result. I just have a sick feeling in my stomach about the whole thing. Obviously, there is not a whole lot that I can do about it now, but vent. Sorry you all have to be the ones to recieve the venting. I just have such strong feelings about this amazing country that GOD set up for us to be free to have a democracy and not a socialist nation and having the government force so many policies upon it's people. Which brings me back to how grateful I am to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love so much having a prophet and apostles on the earth today so that we actually have one place that we can look to for absolute truth. It's just so great to listen to them and know that what they say is true. They aren't worried about pleasing specific interest groups, lobbyists, or political parties. The only person they are worried about pleasing is God. I love America and hope that we will be able to continue to enjoy the freedoms we have always had.

Amen, Steph! I share your sentiments exactly. I'm also very disappointed and nervous for the person our country has chosen for president. I also am so grateful for Heavenly Father who has provided us with His wonderful church and a prophet on the earth today who seeks to do God's will and no one else's.
